Terms of Use
Last updated: 24 October 2026
These terms are an agreement between you and Jharah Global Experts Limited (RC 1979731), which runs GistPay. By creating an account or using GistPay you agree to them and to our Privacy Policy.
1. Who can use GistPay
- You must be 18 or older and able to make a binding agreement.
- One person, one account. Give true details, including a phone number you own, and keep your password and PIN secret. You are responsible for everything done with your account.
2. How GistPay works
- Chats are free and disappear after a set time.
- Calls are paid per second by the caller from their airtime, only while the call is connected. The standard rate is shown before you call. Some users set their own rate; you will see it before you call them.
- Earnings: when people call you, you earn 70% of what the caller pays (the rest is GistPay's fee). This share can change; the share shown when a call starts applies to that call.
- Microjobs: posters pay for tasks in advance, plus a 10% service fee. The money is held until each task is approved. Tasks not reviewed in time are approved automatically. Either side can open a dispute, and our decision on disputes is final.
- Referrals: you may earn a bonus when someone you invite makes their first airtime purchase. Self-referrals and fake accounts are not allowed.
3. Airtime, VIP and featured spots
- Airtime is prepaid credit for using GistPay. It has no cash value, cannot be withdrawn or transferred to another user, and is not refundable except where the law requires or where we made a mistake.
- VIP and featured spots last for the time shown when you get them. They are not refundable once active.
- Prices may change; a change does not affect purchases already made.
4. Withdrawals
- You can withdraw earnings above the minimum shown in your wallet to a bank or payout account in your own name.
- We may hold, reverse or cancel earnings that come from fraud, fake accounts, self-calling, collusion, chargebacks or breaking these terms.
- Withdrawals are usually paid within a few working days. Third-party fees may apply.
5. Your behaviour
You must not use GistPay to:
- harass, bully, threaten, stalk or blackmail anyone, or share hate speech;
- share or show nudity or sexual content, or do anything sexual involving anyone under 18 — we report child exploitation to the authorities;
- scam people, ask for money outside GistPay, sell fake services, or post misleading or illegal microjobs;
- pretend to be someone else, create fake or multiple accounts, or call yourself to earn;
- record other people's calls or share their private information without permission;
- spam, hack, overload or interfere with GistPay or other users.
You own what you post, but you give us permission to host and show it so GistPay can work. Use Report and Block on any profile or chat. We review reports and may remove content, pause features (such as video calling) or suspend accounts.
6. Ads
GistPay may show ad banners from brands. We are not responsible for the products or websites of advertisers.
7. Ending your account
You can delete your account at any time (how). Withdraw your earnings first; remaining airtime and earnings are lost when you delete your account. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms or the law.
8. Disclaimers and liability
GistPay connects people; we do not control what users say or do, and we do not guarantee that you will receive calls or earn a particular amount. Calls depend on your internet connection. To the extent the law allows, GistPay is provided "as is", and our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the 3 months before the claim.
9. Changes and law
We may update these terms and will post the new version here. If you keep using GistPay after a change, you accept it. These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, and the courts of the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, have jurisdiction.
